If you are looking for something to hook up your ipod to your Honda, then this is it. The product is a good product, and you can control your ipod from the controls on your steering wheel.
And now for the misrepresentation in the product advertising. It says that you will get the text display on your radio of the artist and song. That's true, as long as your radio has the XM button...IF YOUR RADIO DOES NOT HAVE THE XM BUTTON, YOU WILL NOT GET THE TEXT DISPLAY ON YOUR RADIO.
Installation was fairly simple - the box does not fit behind the "junk box", but it does fit well under the "this is not an ashtray" console. We drilled a hold at the back of the junk box to run the cable, that way the ipod can be out of site in the junk box with the lid closed. This also allow me to pull and push as I need the cable. The cable will also keep your ipod charged.
You do NOT loose your CD disc changer capability.
You do NOT loose your XM radio (if you have that option)
You can have access to up to 6 playlists with unlimited number of songs in the playlist.
By using "Disc 7", you will have access to the "All Songs Folder" on your ipod.
By using "Disc 8", you have direct access to your ipod (you will actually get a display on your ipod other than 'connected to aux device)
You can also connect devices using audio RCA inputs (White and red, no yellow).
You can get an adapter cable to go from RCA to Audo jacks. I would recommend the "Stereo Female to RCA Male Y-Cable" (also available on Amazon or from Cables To Go). Get the 6-inch one, and run the cable through the "This is not an ashtray" console, then you just need a normal aux. cable - I keep a retractable on in my car[Male/Male Retractable 3.5mm Stereo Cable]. This way you don't have tons of extra feet of cable, and you can plug in just about anything you want. (it keeps the clutter to a minimum).
Your other option would be to get a RCA Male to Stereo Male - just make sure you have enough cable to reach your device. (Stereo male is also known as 3.5mm)
If you have an ipod, and you also have other devices that you would like to connect, you can get an adapter cable that converts the ipod plug into an audio jack plug (like the old cassette tape adapters, or the aux. jack input on most newer head units). Look for Grom audio or search for iPod female (put that in quotes in google)....ebay has the cables too. I have not seen them sold on Amazon as yet.

control.
I really do like this product. It was a little bit of a pain to install, but it is worth it in the long run.
